Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal all specifics during its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Prior news stated the company was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not yet commented regarding the report.
